Don't let the new name fool you. The name might be different, but the idea is still the same. Let's share our love of books on April 12th, as part of Drop Everything and Read Day. Slide a special bookmark or note into your favorite YA book and "drop" it on April 12th for another teen to find. Bus stops. Coffee shops. Basketball courts. Wherever teens hang out in your neighborhood, "drop" a book there.

Drop Everything and Write Day 2023

I'm going to be in Japan visiting my family this April, so I don't have any special DEAW programs planned for this year. I will be dropping books though while I'm in Japan. You can see where on social media. I hope you'll participate and drop books wherever you are on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 12, 2023 too.

Drop Everything and Write Day 2022

Phoenix-based teens, come join us at the Southeast Regional Library in Gilbert on Saturday, April 9th from 1:00-2:30 p.m. for an afternoon of writing. Whether you want to write a novel, screenplay, fanfic, or D&D campaign, come unleash your creative side with local young adult author Sara Fujimura (EVERY REASON WE SHOULDN'T, FAKING REALITY). Bring your favorite writing equipment and be ready for a hands-on, interactive afternoon of creating. There is no fee to attend, but you do need to pre-register. You can do that here. See you very soon, writers!
